Sam & Korin; Fun Autumnal Wedding Photography, Nottingham
If I had to pick favourites for my wedding photography Nottingham would be high on the list, particularly when the wedding is as fun and full of laughter as this one at glorious Goosedale! Sam and Korin found me on Instagram after, and I quote, ‘sitting and laughing at my stories’, and after doing a pre-wedding shoot and getting to know this vibrant couple better I joined them on their wedding day to capture all the joy!
For wedding photography, Nottingham has so many wonderful venues, and Goosedale is no exception. At this mid-September wedding, Goosedale’s lodges allowed Korin to get ready with her mother, little sister and sisters-in-law-to-be with gorgeous lighting - a photographer’s dream! The huge grounds with incredible views and quintessential gardens make for lovely wedding photos, and its restored barn space The Crystal Hall provided the bright, spacious backdrop for Sam and Korin’s giggle-fuelled ceremony.
Everything about the wedding overflowed with emotion, love and laughter including the speeches and the choreographed first dance! There were speeches from Korin’s extremely proud Dad, Sam and Sam’s brother, and they cut their cake with Korin’s grandad’s sword. Throughout the day there were lots of personal touches, including miles of crimson and silver bunting and one thousand origami birds decorating the wooden beams - all handmade by Korin herself! They also had a personalised newspaper giving guests some information about the day, showing off their awesome pre-wedding photos and giving cute anecdotes about the couple.
After dinner, there was a caricature artist to keep everyone entertained, as well as fireworks and sparklers which are a beautiful addition to an autumn evening! To heap on the fun even further, Sam and Korin had a crepe van and a magic mirror. This couple couldn’t be better suited or more in love - easy to see from the beautiful things they said about each other when I chatted to them! It was a pleasure to capture their perfect day and I wish them every happiness. And Sam, if you’re reading this, I hope you get your bear someday…!
