35mm film wedding photography

I’ve been shooting 35mm film (analogue photography) again recently, and it’s reminded me why I fell in love with photography in the first place. There’s something magical about it: the slower pace, the anticipation of waiting for the scans, the way the colours and textures feel like holding a memory in your hands.

Film slows me down and encourages me to be intentional.  makes me think differently about light, composition, and moments, and the result is something warm, timeless, and tangible. It transforms them into images that feel timeless and full of soul.

I’d love to offer you the chance to have a roll of 35mm film woven into your wedding story. One roll gives me around 36 frames - each carefully chosen, capturing portraits, little details, and candid moments that tell the day’s story in a way digital simply can’t. The result isn’t just a photo, it’s a memory you can feel.

WHY 35mm FILM MATTERS?

Film adds a layer of intimacy and authenticity to your wedding gallery. It’s not about recreating what your digital images capture, it’s about complementing them with a softer, more romantic perspective. Film invites you to slow down for a moment, to linger on the little gestures, the glances, the fleeting seconds that are easily overlooked. Every frame is unique and deliberate, a reminder that some moments are too precious to be rushed.

Film isn’t a replacement for your digital gallery, it’s an added layer, a secret treasure within your wedding story. It brings warmth, character, and a softness that draws you in, making you want to linger on each image.

HOW FILM WORKS ON YOUR WEDDING DAY?

Adding film is simple. I’ll dedicate one roll to portraits, candid interactions, and the small details that make your day uniquely yours. With around 36 hand-picked frames, every shot is intentional, capturing the soul of the moment. These images will sit alongside your digital gallery, offering a different perspective…one that’s more romantic, more tactile, and unmistakably film.

FILM FAQS

  • One roll captures about 36 images, hand-picked to work beautifully on film - a mix of portraits, moments, and small details.

  • No, and that’s the beauty of it. 35mm Film has a softer, more romantic feel, with colours and tones you can’t replicate digitally. It complements your digital coverage, rather than duplicating it.

  • Film has its quirks, and that unpredictability is part of its charm. I handle every roll with care and work with a trusted professional lab. Every frame is one-of-a-kind - sometimes a little imperfect, always full of character.
