Wedding photography with a contemporary edge and a documentary heart…

...FOR COUPLES WHO WANT TO STAY IN THE MOMENT.

You’re choosing someone who can hold the truth of the day, and still make it beautiful. That’s where I come in. I work in a documentary led way with a quiet editorial influence, following the people, the light, and the atmosphere as the day unfolds. The photographs don’t just show you the day, they bring you straight back to the feeling.

So if you are drawn to photographs that feel like memories and documentary led work that is quietly attentive and emotionally considered, you are in the right place.

I work in tune with the rhythm of your wedding, steady when things are quiet, responsive when the energy shifts.

Most of the time I’m in the background, giving moments space to happen. When the day needs a little structure, I step in with confidence, guide what needs guiding, then disappear again so you can drop straight back into the moment.

Couples often say the same thing afterwards, it felt calm. They didn’t feel watched, their guests felt at ease, and the photographs look honest because everyone could simply be themselves.

My style of photography is built on awareness, timing, and trust.

FOR WEDDINGS RICH IN FEELING AND ENERGY

The experience, start to Finish

  • Long before your wedding day arrives, time is spent understanding the shape of it.

This includes getting to know you, how you move together, what matters to you, and how you want the day to feel. I gather the practical details, timelines, and logistics so I can arrive prepared rather than reactive.

The goal is simple, to remove friction. So on the day you are not wondering what to do with your hands, or worrying whether family photos will take an hour, or feeling like the camera is running the show.

Communication and guidance are part of this. Whether that is helping you think through timings, light, group photos, or how certain moments might flow, the aim is always the same, a smooth day and better photographs.

  • My role is not to control the day, but to support it.

I am documentary led - staying observant and unobtrusive so you and your guests can stay present and act naturally. When people feel at ease, photographs become honest rather than performed.

And when you need structure, I step in. Group photos are organised efficiently & couple portraits are guided in a way that feels natural, so you look incredible without feeling posed. I’ll take the lead on the practical bits, confetti, group organisation, the moments that need a bit of momentum, so everything flows without feeling staged.

That balance is often what couples comment on afterwards, how calm the experience felt, and how comfortable their friends and family were with me there.

That atmosphere is not accidental. It comes from awareness, judgement, and knowing when to step forward and when to step back.

  • The work does not end when the day does.

Time is spent selecting, editing, and shaping your photographs into a gallery that follows the emotional rhythm of the day. This is not about delivering everything that was captured, it is about choosing what best holds the story. Editing is where that story comes into focus, so what you receive feels like the day, not a photo dump.

The result is a gallery that feels complete without feeling overwhelming, photographs you can return to years from now and still feel exactly where you were.

  • AMY & MATT, Northampton

“Oh my god, I am so glad we found Gina. From our first conversation, she understood our feelings and created a plan that felt perfect for us. She made the entire process easy and natural, and we were so so SO happy with the final photos. Also, as a bonus everyone absolutely loved her!”

  • HELEN & DOUG, CAMBRIDGE

“We immediately got the sense that Gina is truly an expert at what she does, and that we’d be in very safe hands! Her professionalism, reliability, and the confidence we had in the quality of her photos were unmatched. Cutting corners on photography just wasn’t an option, and Gina was absolutely the right choice!”

  • SHELBY & COLE, SHREWSBURY

"Choosing a photographer was one of the more challenging parts of planning our wedding. Would we like the pictures? Would we feel awkward? Would we get on? So many questions. But what narrowed it down for me was not only Gina’s fabulous pictures but actually her bio on her website. I said to my now husband - I think I’ve found the one. Gina is exactly as warm and personable as her website and socials suggest. So lovely, down to earth and a real laugh. The EXACT person you want around you on your wedding day."

  • KHALID & MARIE, Rutland

“We are SO grateful to have had the amazing Gina photograph our wedding day! We feel so privileged to have someone take such incredible care and attention over something so precious, with photos that will stand the test of time.“

Analogue photography

Alongside digital photography, I also work with 35mm film.

Film is used selectively and intentionally, when it adds something meaningful to the story of the day. It is not about trend or nostalgia, but about introducing a slower, more considered layer where it feels right.

If film is something you are drawn to, you can read more about my approach here: 35mm Film Photography

HIGHLIGHT FILMS

Alongside photography, I also offer hybrid coverage for a small number of weddings each year which means I can include a short highlight video of your wedding day.

If you’d like to explore it, visit highlight films for more information & examples. Please mention it on our call if you are interested in this layer of coverage to your day.

Albums

Your photographs are designed to live beyond the screen.

An album offers something slower and more lasting, a physical home for the story, something you can return to without scrolling or searching.

Albums are approached with the same care as the photography itself. The focus is flow, feeling, and emotional rhythm, rather than over design.

Full album options are included in the pricing guide.
