HOLY COW! Old Cow Shed Wedding, Leicestershire

If I could only choose one word to sum up Emma and Dale’s Old Cow Shed wedding in Leicestershire, it would be ‘bonkers’ - but in the absolute best way possible! I was genuinely honoured to capture this colourful, vibrant, fun and sentimental day that I’m certain their friends and family will always remember, and I’m excited to share it with you today.

Why choose the Old Cow Shed, Leicestershire

The beauty of the Old Cow Shed wedding venue in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire is that it’s a totally blank canvas, and this was one of the reasons Emma and Dale (yep, we made the ‘Emmerdale’ joke too) chose it. They recognised that they could do as much or as little as they wanted to it, as its modern-rustic style spaces are beautiful in their own way but also welcome being decorated. It had lots of outdoor space which suited them and the accommodation was plentiful and spacious so all their closest family members could share the whole weekend with them.  I love working at the Old Cow Shed wedding venue, it really lends itself to a unique wedding, which this one definitely was.

There is also plenty of accommodation on site, with the Big Barn and the shepherd’s huts making an Old Cow Shed wedding in Leicestershire perfect for a full weekend spent with loved ones.

A ‘mental’ wedding at the Old Cow Shed, Leicestershire

When I asked Emma and Dale what the vibe or theme for their wedding was, they gave me one word…mental. I came away from this wedding thinking that if it ain’t mental, I don’t want it any more! They really brought all the things they love to their day, revelling in the chance to make the space theirs and really show who they are. There was an epic array of elements and themes, including pops of bright colour, Dolly Parton (check the pinball machine), disco balls, Taskmaster activities for place names (resulting in a crazy conga before the speeches), pom poms and Halloween. It was a monumental extravaganza of personality, and I loved it.

The day was truly theirs and all about them sharing their love with their friends and family in the most fun way. Speeches took the form of presentations, there was an all-day silent disco and everyone partied in a big way - literally from the moment of confetti till gone midnight. I’m so grateful to Emma and Dale for sweeping me up in the fun and choosing me to capture this epic event. You can see more of Emma and Dale’s cool and colourful shenanigans over on Whimsical Wonderland Weddings where they have been featured! Yep, it was picked up by a popular wedding blog as they loved the photos.
