A Chic Black-Tie Wedding at Asylum Chapel, London
Some weddings just have that magic - the kind where love fills the air, the energy is electric, and every moment is a dream to capture. Emma and Pete’s wedding at Asylum Chapel in London was exactly that. A day filled with personal vows, a red London bus stocked with journey juice, and an unforgettable black-tie celebration at Brunswick House.
A Love Story Sealed at Asylum Chapel
The moment Emma and Pete stepped into Asylum Chapel, it was clear why they had chosen this venue. The raw beauty of the space, with its atmospheric candlelight and historic walls, set the perfect stage for their vows. Their ceremony was personal, emotional, and everything they had hoped for. What made it even more special? They had kept their vows a secret from each other, making the moment they spoke them even more meaningful. As their friends and family watched on, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.
Why Asylum Chapel, London Was the Perfect Wedding Venue
For Emma and Pete, staying close to home in London was important. They wanted venues that reflected their personalities -something stylish, unique, and full of character. Asylum Chapel was the dream setting for their ceremony, and Brunswick House was the ideal spot to continue the celebrations. With its rich history and eclectic decor, Brunswick House brought a mix of elegance and personality to their reception. Think champagne, incredible food, a packed dance floor, and a whole lot of laughter!
The Wedding Day Vibe: Black Tie with a Personal Touch
The couple wanted a classic wedding aesthetic with a touch of glamour. White and green florals added an elegant softness to the day, while guests embraced the black-tie dress code. Pete stole the show with his emerald velvet jacket - a bold and stylish choice that fit the day perfectly. But while the styling was timeless, the party was anything but traditional. One of Pete’s six (yes, six!) best men took over the decks for an Ibiza Power Hour, turning the reception into an all-out celebration.
The Best Wedding Advice? Keep It Personal
Planning a wedding can feel overwhelming, especially when everyone tells you it’s supposed to be the best day of your life. Emma and Pete’s best piece of advice? Stick to what feels right for you. They focused on what mattered most to them: good food, good music, and having the time of their lives with the people they love. They also let their families be involved in ways that felt meaningful but stayed true to their vision. No sweating the small stuff, no getting caught up in expectations. Just a day that felt completely and unapologetically them.
Why They Chose Me as Their Wedding Photographer & Filmmaker
I was lucky enough to be recommended to Emma and Pete by their good friends, Jon and Kath. From the moment we had our first Zoom chat, they knew I was the right fit - reassuring, funny, and totally their vibe.
