Kilworth House Wedding with Swords, Fast Cars, and Hot Pink Magic

Some love stories feel like they belong on television, and for Tim and Becky, that couldn’t be more fitting. Their Kilworth House wedding was a celebration of the journey that began when they met while working on Blue Peter. From that moment, it was smooth sailing, and their wedding day was no different. But no Blue Peter badge could compare to the love that surrounded them. Family and friends came together in a way that was truly moving, proving that the best moments in life are always shared.

A Unique and Unforgettable Kilworth House Wedding  

Set against the stunning backdrop of Kilworth House, Tim and Becky’s wedding was a bold celebration of their personalities. Hot pink details, fast cars, and even a sword arch gave the day a sense of excitement and fun. With Tim’s military ties, his army friends created a spectacular moment as the newlyweds left the church, walking beneath raised swords while guests showered them with confetti.  And then there was Becky, who made one thing very clear—she’d like to get married every day. Tim, you better buckle up! 

The Proposal That Started It All  

Tim’s proposal was straight out of a romantic film. In 2021, while working on a TV show about luxury motorhomes, he had a lightbulb moment. If he was going to pop the question, why not incorporate the very thing he was filming? He planned a road trip along the Northumberland coast, hiding a bottle of champagne in the boot and ensuring Becky’s friends encouraged her to get her nails done. On the second day, during a walk along Alnmouth Beach, Tim knew he needed a distraction. He grabbed his drone, which Becky despises, and pretended there was a technical fault. Keeping her focus on the drone, she had no idea what was happening behind her. After several minutes of keeping her eyes on the sky, she finally turned around to find Tim kneeling on the sand with a vintage engagement ring in hand.  

His words? "No shaky, just wifey."  

The moment was followed by lobster, champagne, and a whole lot of excitement.

When it came to choosing a venue, Kilworth House Hotel was everything they wanted. The beautiful glass conservatory brought the outdoors inside, creating a bright and airy space that suited their vision. A marquee had been an option, but avoiding the risk of unpredictable British weather made Kilworth House the ideal setting.

- Tables named after important locations in their relationship, from the place they first kissed to their first home together.  

- Live music, including an electric violinist and an evening band, a must for Tim, who played in bands in his youth.

The entire day was designed to feel vibrant, fun, and relaxed. Hot pink bridesmaid dresses stood out beautifully against the elegant setting, while spring blooms in shades of pink filled the venue. Bud vases and gold candlesticks brought everything together, creating a stylish but effortless feel. Someone described the wedding as having "Aussie vibes," and that couldn’t have been more accurate.
