I met Sarah at my very first wedding fayre in Ketton, near Stamford. We CLICKED instantly and nattered away about weddings. Sarah told me she and her fiancé Tom had planned for an outdoor wedding at The Granary in Market Deeping, near Stamford. They wanted local and why not? Perfect for me too as I offer Stamford wedding photography, it’s practically on my doorstep from where I am based in Rutland! Sarah was not wrong when she described The Granary wedding venue as stunning with huge grounds. It is a grade 2 listed building set in 12 acres of land decorated with miles of festoon lighting.
When Sarah & Tom said they wanted to book me I was over the moon. They felt my natural style of photography would suit their relaxed outdoor wedding day perfectly. The fact that I was a local wedding supplier offering Stamford wedding photography was a bonus.
Getting hitched
Sarah and Tom married on a simply gorgeous day where the sun shone all day long. It was perfect weather for their outdoor wedding ceremony. They decorated the venue with pale purple bunting and lots of cute signposts to direct the wedding guests amongst the 12 acres of ground! It was a nice touch to make the place their own.
During the ceremony, Sarah & Tome read their own vows. This was really moving. The wedding reception was in a huge marquee. Sarah & Tom made sure there was a real relaxed vibe to the reception by having a food truck for their catering and a chill-out area, dressed with haystacks and blankets. Wedding guests hung out, laughed, drank and ate in the sun – exactly how Sarah and Tom wanted the day.
Being in such a beautiful location gave a wide choice of backdrops for wedding photos. It was the most relaxed and romantic wedding and an absolute joy to be a part of.
