Boho Woodland Wedding Inspiration

This is one for the boho wedding lovers out there. Yes, you! Here is some inspiration for you to plan a gorgeous boho outdoor woodland wedding, complete with Alpacas! Embrace the non-traditional U.K. wedding vibes and have a day that is a little more you. Go for a ceremony with macrame backdrops, dried and fresh floral combinations and tipis to dance in. Have that memorable day celebrating amongst beautiful foliage, rugs and dream catchers and other dreamy vintage boho props. A full list of suppliers from this shoot is provided at the end.

Woodland wedding venue:

This shoot took place at Hirst Priory, a 300-year-old country house near Crowle, in Lincolnshire. This wedding venue is incredible as it allows you to have the option of three different wedding vibes all in one place. Whether you go for a mix and match to get the best of both worlds or stick to one theme, then this place is for you! You can have a manor house wedding here in the decadently dressed country house, or a unique wedding in the Vaults, the brick cellars. Or, as I have to show you here, opt for a gorgeous outdoor woodland wedding. An outdoor woodland wedding venue will mean a non-legal ceremony, so opt for a humanist or celebrate led ceremony. It's far more personal! You can sign on the dotted legal line before your big day. If you're looking for a venue closer to home then opt for somewhere that has plenty of trees but enough of a clearing for where you can have your ceremony. You'll need to think of loos and electricity too but these are all easy to find. In the East Midlands, many wedding venues have plenty of outdoor space and welcome outdoor wedding ceremonies so don't be afraid to ask and see what they can do.

Boho wedding decor:

For ultimate boho vibes go for vintage neutral coloured props and plenty of macrame and dream catchers. Deep reds, coppers and forest greens make great colours against the woodland and don't skimp on the fairy lights. An outdoor wedding with twinkly lights from dusk to the late evening will always look pretty. All these elements are effortlessly stylish.

Woodland wedding food:

For food options in the outdoors, go for the street food van vibes. Here we had a pizza van. Imagine grabbing a slice and sitting by a warm fire pit with friends as you relax. You could add in an ice cream van for dessert and a mobile gin bar.

Woodland wedding entertainment:

An outdoor woodland wedding is a blank canvas and you can add a whole host of outdoor games for guests to enjoy - when you think boho, think festival. Opt for live music and have it all day with a silent disco at night! Add in some old fashioned outdoor games like giant Jenga, a few space hoppers and some good old fashioned lawn chess. There are many possibilities in the great outdoors. Animals at weddings are also a great talking point and the temptation to cuddle will be very strong. Make it a memorable day by including some alpacas who can roam a little in the outdoors.
