Stapleford Park Country House Hotel Leicestershire Wedding: Hannah & Dan

If you’re planning a wedding at Stapleford Park Country House Hotel in Leicestershire, you’ll be inspired by this wedding!

Hannah and Dan got married at Stapleford Park Country House Hotel, which is a grand country house hotel in Leicestershire with stunning grounds. It was such a fun wedding and even the short showers didn't dampen the day. In fact, absolutely all was forgiven when we had the most beautiful evening light. Nothing was going to stop this day from happening, it had been a long time coming. In fact, this wedding was the third date Hannah & Dan had due to the pandemic. THIRD TIME HELLA LUCKY! It all worked out perfectly. Hannah & Dan were determined to get married, regardless of the restrictions in place. And their main restriction for the day was having to only have 30 guests. Speaking to Hannah at the end of the day, she said she would recommend 30 guests to everyone & her day could not have been more perfect! She did indeed have amazing guests - a good combination of fun friends and dear loved ones. Everyone there was eager to see that Hannah and Dan got the best day. Hannah's experience is actually very similar to many of my brides who have had to limit their numbers. They have all reflected that their day was the best day ever and hundreds were not needed to attend!! Invite your most valuable and the ones who will keep the vibe fun and full of laughter and you’ll be winning and grinning.

The ceremony

The ceremony was a legal ceremony in a beautiful room. During the ceremony, they had lovely readings including a reading written by the pupils from Hannah's school where she teaches. It was a beautiful way of involving everyone in the ceremony.

They decorated the area with cherry blossom trees which were very pretty. The reception was in a private room at Stapleford Park Country House Hotel. I love this venue because it has so many great opportunities for portraits. Weddings at Stapleford Park Country House Hotel are amazing because the grounds are just wonderful.

Why Stapleford Park Country House Hotel is a great place to get married

Stapleford Park Country House Hotel is really peaceful and secluded and is one of the prettiest and luxurious places to get married in Leicestershire. There are a variety of backdrops! The venue offers an onsite hotel so guests don’t have to travel home and there are so many beautiful spots that are perfect for photos. There is also a beautiful orangery where you can have your ceremony in.

After the ceremony

The couple had drinks and canapes in the afternoon and a live band in the evening. What I loved about the decor of Hannah's & Dan's day were the nods to things they love. They incorporated elements of Disney, bees, Hannah's love for teaching into the day but in no way did it feel like a themed wedding. The cherry blossom tree decor was also chosen for a personal reason! The restaurant where Dan proposed to Hannah was also decorated with Cherry blossom trees.

The drinks and canapes were to take place on the terrace, but due to showers, were served inside. However, we still got outside for photos - if the pandemic couldn't stop the day, a few showers wouldn't either. It is brilliant when guests work with me to get the memories captured. For dinner, they had a slap-up meal - perfect for the foodies Hannah & Dan were. The first dance was a good old traditional wedding shuffle (with a twirl) which was performed by a live band. They finished off the evening with plenty of singing & boogying on the spot. Due to restrictions, a dancefloor is yet to open up, but that doesn't stop you from having a bottom wiggle on the spot! Chuck a bit of air guitar and you're good to go.

The couple

Hannah wore a lacy & sparkly fitted dress and Dan wore a three-piece suit and they looked really beautiful. Hannah also had a whole lot of veil and both wore a 'grape soda' badge which was a reference to the Disney film 'Up'. Hannah's shoes were stunning too. A chunky embellished heel with an inscription on the sole.

The couple got in touch with me last minute, and their enquiry was one I said yes to immediately. Hannah & I follow each other on Instagram and have done for a long while. Due to rearrangements, many changes had to be made. When Hannah's original photographer could not do the wedding she immediately got in touch with me, hoping I was available. I am so glad she did, we'd already built a friendship online so I knew it would feel like I was hanging with friends for the day! In fact, they said: "We love your style and personality. We have never seen a photograph that you have taken that we didn't love!" That trust in me instils a great deal of confidence, I can tell ya!

Hannah & Dan just wanted to be married, and I loved that they were so incredibly relaxed, going with the flow. They were up for fun shots and weren’t fussed if the order of the day had to be rearranged due to the weather...or if a particular group shot could not happen because the flower girls decided hanging out in a vest was better than hanging out in a pink tutu.

Advice for planning your wedding at Stapleford Park Country House Hotel

As mentioned, the grounds are beautiful and well worth an exploration. If you're marrying here, allow time for not only the both of you to wander around to get photos but, time for your guests too. There are walled gardens, lawn games and there may be a golf buggy around for the porter to take you for a ride in (not a euphemism!). The staff are brilliant too. You'll have a ‘go to’ for the day who will help organise and run the day seamlessly.
