Ordering prints and albums

Viewing our photos on our phones and computers is pretty convenient but there is nothing quite like seeing your memories in print. There is something so comforting about making a brew, cuddling up on the sofa and looking through your photo album. I loved doing this growing up. I’d gather all the photo albums (you know, the old school ones where you had a sticky page and placed your print in before covering with a transparent film) and just sit through them flicking, talking and asking my family questions - who’s that, what were you doing, where are they now and what was it like back then? I wanted to be transported back to that point in time, to feel it. Today, looking through photo albums is something I love to do with my kids. It beats looking at tiny photos on a mobile phone!

Physical photos are one of the reasons I picked up my camera. To be able to give images that you could print and enjoy for a LIFETIME and beyond. So when delivering my images to you I tried to find a platform that you would find showed off your photos beautifully and allowed you to order your prints and albums with ease. And it really is very easy! It’s what I love about Pic-Time gallery.

Top tips for designing albums

  1. Click the ‘heart’ icon on your favourite images. This will then compile a list of your favourites that you can choose from when making your album. It means less time searching back through your entire gallery for it.

  2. Try to include images from a cross-section of your day. Aim to tell a story starting from the beginning to the end. Think of different view-points, include your special people and include the absolute bangers of the two of you.

  3. Definitely try to have at least one spread which is one photo (so a photo that covers across two pages entirely) they look absolutely EPIC! When I design an album I tend to make this my middle page and my confetti photo. I also will include another single page which is corner to corner of one photo - I tend to choose an intimate couple photo for this.

  4. If you have too many to choose from, why not get some as prints to frame and include others in a photo album?

  5. A standard album is 20 pages and holds 40-50 photos nicely. You can always add additional pages for more photos.

  6. Please note that due to the personalisation of the item, the final product is non-refundable so do make every effort to ensure you are happy with the layout before it goes to print. Once it’s paid for it can’t be recalled back to edit.

  7. For an extra £50 you can have me design it all for you. You just need to choose your faves and I will sort it and send you a proof which you can check over and can discuss changes needed if necessary.

Did you know your family and friends can purchase gift vouchers towards the cost of your albums? Why not add it to your birthday, Christmas or wedding anniversary gift wish list? Email me to find out more: hello@ginafernandesphotography.co.uk
