Autumnal Wedding at South Farm, Cambridgeshire

Alyson & Ashley’s wedding at South Farm had it all - stunning autumnal colours, a heartfelt ceremony, and even a *flash mob* on the dancefloor. But let’s talk about the real drama of the day: The THUNDERSTORM. While it might have been a little terrifying for those (me) who are scared of storms, the weather played nice for most of the day, with the thunder and lightning storm only making an appearance when everyone was already inside enjoying their incredible wedding feast! And honestly, what’s an autumn wedding without a little atmosphere?

A Ceremony Filled with Meaning at South Farm

Alyson & Ashley chose to have a celebrant-led ceremony, making their vows deeply personal and unique to them. It was emotional, full of love, and followed by an explosion of confetti and a whole lot of laughter. This is what weddings are all about—moments that are unapologetically *you*.

Why South Farm?

When asked why they chose South Farm as their wedding venue, the answer was simple: it’s breathtakingly beautiful but also has a relaxed and grounded feel. From the moment they arrived, they felt comfortable and knew they could truly be themselves there. And honestly, that’s what makes a venue special - not just how it looks, but how it makes you *feel*.

The Autumnal Wedding Vibe

The styling was the perfect balance between formal elegance and boho charm. Think greens, neutrals, blush, rust, and copper tones paired with gorgeous roses, pampas, eucalyptus, and soft greenery. The colours blended seamlessly with the season, making for some stunning autumnal wedding photos around the farm.

Personal Touches That Made It *Theirs*

Alyson & Ashley truly made their wedding unique with little details that told their story. From Southwold wine (a nod to their engagement) to handmade ‘Brown Bear’ place names crafted by Alyson herself, their day was filled with heartfelt touches. Even their wedding playlist was built by their guests, making the evening entertainment even more personal. And let’s not forget the *flash mob* - the only flashing I fully approve of!

Why They Chose Me as Their Wedding Photographer for Their Autumnal South Farm Wedding

When Alyson first reached out, she told me she loved my photography style the moment she saw my gallery. She said it was so full of energy and life. And honestly? That’s exactly how their wedding day felt: vibrant, full of fun, and totally *them*.
