Covid Calendar

To my 2021 beauties!

I'm not trying to predict the future or suggest that you do things one way or another but whether you are thinking of postponing or wanting to keep to the original date then please do let me know what you are thinking at this point in time so that I can work with you and stay in touch throughout this process.
If you do feel you need to postpone your wedding then I totally understand. Any postponements with a new date later within 2021 will happen without any extra charge. Any weddings that have to move this year because a lockdown or Tier 3 & 4 prevented it from happening in full will also move without extra charge. Right now this applies to weddings those of you have in January & February.

Postponements that move into 2022, will need a new contract and will be chargeable at 2022 prices. I am sorry I have to do that at all, but I am sure you appreciate my income has been decimated over the last year (and continues to be so), and I too am having to make hard choices to keep my business viable. It has been a difficult decision to make and I have tried, as always, to have fair pricing that reflects all that I do and deliver for my clients. I know a few of you had smaller ceremonies last year, with a view to having a bigger party this year - be reassured any surplus hours will still be carried over and nothing will change there.
My prices changed 6months ago and I am aware that of the few, last year, who moved from 2021 to 2022 graciously accepted the terms and I am glad we will still be working together. If you booked in 2019 or early 2020 you will see that the biggest change is that I no longer offer a second shooter for free in my ‘All or Nothing’ package (formally known as ‘The Whole Shebang’). If you wanted a second shooter then additional costs would apply.
If you choose to move to a date where I am not free, then your contract would be cancelled, all normal cancellation terms would apply, and I would cry into my cereal. So let’s try not to let that happen eh? Salty coco pops are the worst. Please do re-read your terms and conditions. In fact, with all the suppliers you have booked, do go through your T&C's and remember we all have to play fair. Speak to your insurance for guidance if you need it too.
If you adjust your plans to have fewer people there and have a smaller day (SO dang chic), then game on, not much will change, just chat it over with me in case you need to make any adjustments.

As I say, I remain very positive that things will be okay for the summer, this is very much a ‘just in case' scenario, but as I have said before in past 2020 covid based emails, and something I learnt in my past career: plan for the worst & hope for the best. And 2020 has been such a peach of a year for new experiences! I have done 9 weddings since the first lockdown ended. I have been part of weddings where there were a variety of different restrictions (many, last minute!) and I am currently in the middle of writing down what I experienced. If there is anything specific you would like to know, please do reply with your question. You’ll hear first hand from couples and see some ‘never shown before’ photos of what a wedding has looked like over the past few months. It’ll be interesting and it may well help you plan what you want your day to really be like. Don’t forget I also have this handy blog on how to plan for a wedding with restrictions.

The best way to postpone is to get in touch with the venue first and foremost if you can and gather as many dates as they can offer you. If you're looking at having to shift your wedding to a season you're not mad on or a weekday rather than a weekend, please try not to feel crappy about it. I know it's not ideal but by working together we can still make it shaaamazing!
I reckon most people will be absolutely made up to go to a wedding and most people will just understand that the most important thing is you have your most important people in great health, ready to enjoy the day with you. Keep focussed on that, everything else will fall into place. And hey, if you do have to shift to things on a weekday, the chances are that your key suppliers will still be available.

My Calendar

Here is my calendar for you to confer with. You can see where I am booked. This is not a live calendar and doesn't allow you to book it via clicking it. Once you are considering a date, get in touch so I can keep this calendar up to date.

Please do stay in contact and let me know if you are considering a move - we are all in this together, and we will all do our damndest to make sure you have the wedding you want. I for one can’t wait to party with you.

With all the 2021 love & relentless optimism,

Gina xoxo
