Unconventional Wedding Inspiration

It has been an exciting week this week! A lot has been happening which I aim to keep you up to date with over the course of the next few days. Let me start by informing you lovely lot that I was featured in Unconventional Weddings! Unconventional Weddings is a wedding directory and blog is dedicated to unique, creative and quirky weddings - which is something I love! Weddings that are as individual as you both are, so I was pleased as punch to be published by them.

An unconventional themed wedding

Inspired by the music from the film, I decided to pull together a team to create a 'Greatest Showman' themed wedding at a new outdoor-based venue in Market Harborough, Castle View Farm and Stables. What better way than to bring colour, fun and the vintage theme altogether under (or rather outside of) one roof!

It was my first experience of pulling together a team of creatives and wedding suppliers and I could not have done it without my co-coordinator Nicole, a local wedding fayre provider and a badass singer. We were blessed by glorious weather in February which was as unusual, as the theme, for this time of year! It was as perfect as a summer’s day, just what was needed to pull off an outdoor wedding.

This shoot featured mainly local suppliers and a real-life couple and a model. I wanted to keep it local so that I could show off the talent we have in the area and made a point to get a couple who were more representative of the general public which is something we don’t see an awful lot of in the wedding industry images we are bombarded with.

Your wedding day, your wedding way

I wanted to show a non-traditional outdoor wedding, inspired by the music and messages of the Greatest Showman because I believe weddings are ultimately about a celebration of love and commitment which should be done your way. Not by following traditions which are included in weddings because that’s what you think ought to have or happen. Let’s take the classic white gown, does a wedding dress have to be white? Do you really need to toss a garter? Do things have to match? A bride and groom cake topper? And who actually writes in the wedding guest book?

If you are looking for some unconventional wedding inspiration then head over to A GREATEST SHOWMAN WEDDING – ALL THE FUN OF THE CIRCUS to go and read the featured blog. I am super proud of the team that helped me pull off this vision. I could not recommend a better bunch of people to work with or provide you with your wedding supplies.
