Castle View Farms Wedding

Nick & Kat celebrated their wedding with a beautiful ceremony at the iconic Normanton Church at Rutland Water followed by a rustic shindig at Castle View Farms in Leicestershire. Their day was full of CELEBRATION! With three live bands, food carts, well wanting and stilt walkers. A few rain showers did nothing to dampen the fun had by all!

Castle View Farms Wedding Venue

Kat & Nick found me because their Venue, Castle View Farms & Stables had recommended me. I am one of their recommended suppliers at this local venue. I have worked with them in the past on various styled shoots such as The Greatest Showman which you can read about here. Castle View is a working farm and in the summer, offer their grounds and huge barn to throw a wedding.

When I met Kat and she told me about the wedding and I found out that Kat had a background in events management, I was left feeling incredibly excited to photograph the day. And the day did not disappoint! Kat had organised a lot to entertain the guests and I had plenty to photograph. There were outdoor games, live music & dancing and plenty of food. All of the guests were captured laughing, hugging and dancing.

I loved the colours chosen for their wedding at Castle View Farms. Kat had chosen a gorgeous deep blue and complimented it with big sunflowers. Kat & Nick swapped traditions for a day that reflected them. They had a blue VW camper van, Kat wore a gorgeous tea length wedding dress which showed off her funky blue & yellow shows. They swapped confetti for bubbles and instead of a sit-down wedding breakfast, filled the Castle View Farms wedding venue with a pizza van, hog roast & an ice-cream bicycle cart. They wanted to entertain and have a wedding that friends and family could really enjoy and they absolutely did this. One of the best bits of the wedding reception at Castle View Farms was the welly wanting competition they had. There was plenty of space at the venue to have fun with this! The wedding decor was all hand made and set up by the family the day before. Miles of bunting, sunflowers and handmade signs & jam jars. Saving money here meant they could splash out on the entertainment and party for their guests which mattered more to them.
